Reality

She sits alone

Always alone

tears now chased away

Fears now just reality

But life must go on.

Her heart maybe broken

But love can mend it.

Love of others,

Love of herself.

Time will leave memories

Life will leave pain

But the world will still turn

She’ll be stronger.

A little less flesh

A little more stone.

A little less feeling,

A little more numb.

A little smaller entrance,

A little more wall.

Fewer dreams,

More shattered fantasies.

Waiting for the right person

To come and set her free.

The years have passed.

Her beauty has yet to fade.

A flower in her hair,

The moon to guide her way

A lonely maid on the prowell,

Alone in a room

But lost in the crowd.

Their eyes lock,

She longs no more.

He had found the key

In a way only love can ensure.

He took the time

To show her how to be free

Hand in hand,

Together they’ll be.

And happiness was once again

reality.
