This challenge was fun! The idea is that I turn on my music, put it on shuffle and jot down the first thought I have for the first three songs that play. I don't currently own a ipod or anything of the like, so I went with my YouTube play list.
Song #1: I see Fire originally sung my Ed Sheeran but the version that played for me was preformed by Peter Hollens. My first thoughts were: "I love this song!" and then, "Peter Hollens! I don't listen to him enough anymore! He's awesome and he did such an amazing job on this song!" Seriously, though, if you haven't checked out Peter Hollens, you really should! I'll leave a link to his cover further down!
Song #2: Old Fashioned by Panic! At the Disco. My first reaction was just a sense of familiarity with the opening bars. For some reason they just remind me of something from my past, something comforting, though I can't tell you what. Then I questioned weather or not this was one of the not-so-family-friendly songs by Mr. Brendon Urie. But, after all of that, I felt like this was a fitting song for a place that celebrates stories and, also, our pasts.
And...the last song to play....
The Emperor's new clothes by Panic! At the Disco. Honestly, my first thought was, "Another Panic song! I do love Panic! but it doesn't provide for much variety in the blog I'm about to write! And then I started singing along without even meaning to. The video is fun, though....
